My favourite pub is in a place called LLangrannog, West Wales. Well actually, the two pubs there are my favourite. The Pentre Arms and Ship Inn are both set by the water's edge and against an impressive backdrop of hills. The Ship Inn is a large and pristine pub built of local slate and stone, whereas the Pentre is small and quaint. With lots of old-world character and charm, both pubs make a welcoming place to enjoy a relaxed drink and dishes from the comprehensive menu including fresh fish, steaks and tempting vegetarian meals.
Llangrannog is nine and a half miles northwest of Cardigan on the B4334. It is a small seaside village with very friendly locals and a large youth crew that party all year. My best nights out ever have been in these pubs. The most memorable were the “Crazy Tuesdays” of the 2005 summer. Why not spread the word about your favourite pub so that everyone can enjoy it with you.
